How can I keep cats away from my kids outdoor play area?
We have new playground equipment which includes a sand filled area that cannot be covered. I need a long term, kid safe solution that will keep the cats from doing what cats do in the sand. Any ideas?
Neighborhood cats invade my yard. I wouldn’t own a cat, but if I did, I certainly wouldn’t let it roam.
oh dear ! A recipe for conflict. The only thing I can suggest is a device that is very small and is triggered by movement. It then sends out a high pitched alarm that drives cats nutty – (and maybe you all too !) and scares them away. It is like an electronic scarecrow/movement alarm ! Sorry – I dont know the name.
If it does not rain too much where you are, you could also pour white pepper all around the sand box perimeter – say monthly – that will help keep them away too !.
