Chassis Frame Shall be 6” Heavy Duty Structural Channel with reinforcement, designed for stability and strength. Entire frame shall be primed and painted for complete rust protection
Axle Shall be a minimum 3-9,000# torsion type: 6-lug pattern; 9/16” studs: E-Z lube bearing
Brakes Shall be 12V and self-adjusting for ease of maintenance and safety.
Breakaway Switch Shall be 12 Volt type with steel guard for protection.
Battery Box Shall be 10 Gauge steel construction; lockable, and welded to the frame; primed and painted for rust protection. Plastic shall not be acceptable.
Tires (6) Lt 235/75R17.5; 6.75” x 17.5” rims
Tow Bar Shall be 43” long x 4” x 6” tubing x 3/8” wall thickness with 3/4” thick welded steel plate for towing height adjustment. Pintle ring shall be 2 ½” I.D. minimum; adjustable for height.
Fuel Tank Shall be a minimum 150-gallon; strapped and bolted to the frame for easy removal; including drain plug and lockable filler cap cover; shall have side mounted sight gauge to easily monitor fluid level.
Lighting Shall be 12 Volt system and conform to DOT standards; taillights shall be a sealed system, shock mounted to frame with grommets. Break and turn lights shall be located at the rear sides of the infeed chute and flush mounted within a welded steel housing for protection. All wiring shall be protected within a non-corrosive abrasion resistant, shielded loom.
Jack Shall be hydraulic operated 10,000 lb capacity; bolted to the frame.
Paint All exposed areas shall be covered with industrial strength primer and then shall be painted with industrial strength, lead free, urethane paint for enhanced rust protection. Standard color shall be industrial yellow, DuPont Imron
Chipper Shaft Shall be ASTM A311 4” diameter solid steel and be fully machined to exact tolerances.
Feed Plate Anvil Shall be steel construction, custom fitted, adjustable with 4 usable edges.
Chipper Cutting Drum Shall be tapered drum with 36” outside diameter tapered to 24” center diameter with a total cutting width of 28”; tapered drum shall be built from inside out, with a double welded skeletal frame that includes a 1” thick, 24” diameter steel disc to support inside of knife pocket for added strength and durability; outside knife pocket shall be supported with 3/4” thick disc shaped end cap that also creates added inertia for smooth chipping: tapered cutting drum shall be wrapped with molded 3/8” thick steel and double welded adding extra strength and inertia during chipping; shall contain 20 replaceable fan blades.
Chipper knives 4 knife pockets; each with (1) 7 ½” x 5” x 5/8”, A8 chipper steel
Chipper Housing Shall be 5/8” plate steel welded to a 3/8” plate steel bellyband that conforms to the shape of the tapered drum.

Capacity Shall have a minimum chipper throat opening 22” high by 34” wide with a total cutting width of 28”; shall have a minimum of 748 sq. in. feed opening area.
Feed Rate Shall be 110’ per minute unless otherwise specified.
Hydraulic Tank Shall be a minimum of 135-gallon capacity with a magnetic drain plug and mesh strainer at the opening; side mounted sight gauge to easily monitor fluid level.
Hydraulic Hose All high pressure hydraulic hoses shall be minimum 2500 psi industrial grade construction with wear and spray guards in applicable areas; shall have female JIC 37° flare fittings.
